Do you want to lead the social and academic societies in BISO?
The Head of Societies is responsible for all committees in BISO. You must ensure that the committee’s operations are in line with BISO’s articles of association and local laws in Oslo, as well as support BISO’s strategic areas. This role requires a good overview at all times, and it is also important to be a supervisor and supporter. You are also responsible for arranging society manager meetings (ULM). The meetings must be in English, unless all participants speak Norwegian.
You will have a permanent contact person in the HR team who will be able to assist you with recruitment, team building and advice on personnel matters. You will have personnel responsibility for committee leaders and will recruit them with the help of HR. Your nearest leader will be the Campus President at BISO Oslo.
In this role, you will be part of the Campus Management in Oslo who work closely with the Operations Unit and HR. As campus management, you will work together to create and facilitate student activity on campus and to achieve BISO’s strategic goals.

- Structured, good at organizing and delegating
- Humble, patient and open to input
- Guide and help the committee leaders
- Able to be authoritarian where needed
- Flexible and good at handling several cases at once
- Has a commitment to the student environment
Work assignments:
- Coordinating event dates and other relevant activities for the committees
- Facilitate sparring and exchange of experience between committee leaders via ULM
- Create and continuously update structures and systems
- Act as a link between the Management and the committees
- Continually further develop the organization’s environment and culture, as well as work on the development of those involved
