Passionate about financial management and budgeting?
The Financial Controller’s main task is to manage the finances on his campus in accordance with budget, approve invoices, budget at the overall level for Campus Oslo. The role also processes support applications and distributes funds from BISO Oslo’s support pool to the units, as well as follows up and gives feedback to the units regarding accounting figures in relation to budget. You will work closely with the student assistants who work with bookkeeping, invoicing and follow-up with customers and suppliers.
You will have a sparring partner in BISO’s Financial Advisor and Business Controller. You yourself will have professional responsibility towards all financial managers in the Oslo units, answer questions from them, and organize a workshop for them at least once a semester, such as ahead of the autumn budgeting process. The staff function BISO Invest has you as the closest manager and you will recruit a manager for the unit with the help of HR. Your closest leader is the Campus President at BISO Oslo.
In this role, you will be part of the Campus Management in Oslo who work closely with the Operation Unit and HR. As campus management, you will work together to create and facilitate student activity on campus and to achieve BISO’s strategic goals.

Work assignments
As Financial Controller for BISO Oslo, no days are the same. Among other things, you will:
- Flexible when the situation calls for it and authoritarian when necessary
- You will arrange staff manager meetings (SLM) once a semester or more, where the managers will be able to meet to get relevant information from you and an opportunity to spar with each other about common issues.
- Follow how income and costs develop in relation to budget throughout the year
- Follow up that financial managers are trained in BISO’s financial routines
- Ensure that the units keep their budget and initiate measures when necessary
- Report continuously to Management regarding the organisation’s results and liquidity
