Do you want to lead the Control Committee (Norwegian: KK) in BISO and make sure that the organization’s rules are followed and our internal processes are carried out in an orderly manner? The duration of the Control Committee Manager position is from 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026. The position is compensated. It is not necessary to be a student to enter into this position. It is also possible to combine this position with a full-time job.
The Control Committee’s main task is to ensure that BISO’s statutes, Code of Conduct, and local laws are complied with at all times by those engaged in BISO.
As the Manager, you will also have the following areas of responsibility:
– Motivate and lead the national KK team
– Coordinate the work of the local KK teams
– Have budget responsibility for KK’s budget
– Train new KK representatives in their tasks
– Arrange frequent team meetings with the KK team which consists of 5 KK seniors and 3 KK advisors
– Interpret and give binding statements in how to interpret statutes, local laws and the Code of Conduct
– Have an advisory role to BISO’s engaged students in statutes, local laws and the Code of Conduct
– Report on ongoing KK work to BISO’s Board of Trustees
It is a big advantange to have at least one year’s experience from roles where you have gained a good knowledge of BISO on your campus and preferably also nationally. It is an advantage to have participated in several general meetings and national meetings organized by BISO. It is recommended that you have spent at least one year in such a central role in BISO or in another organization before applying for the role of KK Manager. It is an advantage if you are located close to one of our campuses in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim or Stavanger.

Interviews will be conducted digitally by two people from the BISO HR team who will then nominate a candidate for the position and elections will be held at the National Meeting in Trondheim 22. – 23. March. It is possible to attend the meeting digitally to hold a speech and question round.
