The Shipping Society is one of the largest interest groups here at BI. It was founded in 1998 under BISO and is for students interested in shipping and the maritime industry. The society’s focus is learning through company presentations, lectures, and networking with industry professionals, including trips to London. The society aims to give the students some insight into the possibilities in the maritime sector, broaden their network, and give the students an amazing student experience through social gatherings with lots of fun. Engagement, interest, and a good atmosphere are the main incentives for membership!
