Closing on: Mar 22, 2026
Velg campus: Oslo
Velg type verv: Event manager Project Winter games
Velg interesser: project winter games

Winter Games is traditionally held at the turn of January/February and takes place at a mountain resort hotel. The event combines concerts, winter activities, and social gatherings, and in recent years has been hosted at Storefjell Resort Hotel.

Winter Games is BISO’s largest national event and brings together students from all four BI campuses: Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, and Stavanger. The purpose of the event is to strengthen cohesion across campuses and build a shared national BISO identity through a comprehensive student experience.

The project is complex and requires continuous collaboration within the Winter Games board, with campus leadership at all four campuses, BISO at the national level, external partners such as AHA Opplevelser, as well as Storefjell Resort Hotel and other suppliers. Successful execution requires structure, accountability, and the ability to manage a project of significant scope.

For Winter Games 2027, the project board will be recruited from Campus Oslo due to centralization. This means that only applicants affiliated with Campus Oslo will be considered.

The Event Manager is responsible for planning and executing the event program. The role entails ensuring a cohesive, structured, and high-quality delivery of Winter Games’ activities and concerts. 2x Event Managers will be recruited, each with primary responsibility within the following areas:

  1. Event Manager – Activities
  2. Event Manager – Artists

The responsibilities are divided to ensure capacity and clear ownership; however, the roles require close collaboration throughout the entire project period. Program development, production, and execution are closely interconnected and must be planned in a coordinated manner. The role involves close collaboration with an external event agency and Storefjell Resort Hotel, as well as coordination with other suppliers and partners.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Planning and structuring the overall event program
  • Concept development of activities and events
  • Dialogue and coordination related to artist booking
  • Development of run-of-show schedules for both day and evening programs
  • Planning alternative solutions in case of deviations
  • Coordination with other board roles related to logistics, security, and communications
  • Collaboration with technical suppliers, the external event agency, and Storefjell Resort Hotel
  • Operational leadership and decision-making during the event itself

Expectations for the Role

The role requires structure, decisiveness, and strong execution capability. The Event Manager must be able to work systematically during the planning phase while also managing a fast-paced environment and unforeseen situations during execution.

Clear role awareness in collaboration with the external event agency and other stakeholders is essential, as is the ability to balance student-driven ownership with professional event production. The role involves periods of high workload and requires accountability, clear communication, and strong coordination skills.
