Would you like to lead the Branding Committee in BISO and have overall responsibility for how the organization’s offerings are communicated and marketed nationally?

The Branding Committee Leader is a remunerated position with a term of office from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. The role is responsible for leading BISO’s Branding Committee and for ensuring a cohesive, strategic, and consistent communication of BISO as an organization across all campuses.

The Branding Committee shall consist of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 members.

To assume the position, you must be a student at BI and a member of BISO as of 1 July 2027. Applicants may come from any BI campus.

About the Branding Committee

The purpose of the Branding Committee is to develop and further develop BISO’s national promotion and communication strategy, with the aim of reaching both new and active students in a clear, inclusive, and professional manner. This includes:

  • develop and follow up on a national action plan for branding in line with BISO’s strategy
  • plan and execute national marketing campaigns
  • develop guidelines for PR, marketing, and communication to be followed by the entire organization
  • ensure a cohesive visual and linguistic profile across campuses

Four of the committee positions are reserved for the Head of Marketing & PR from each of the four campuses. The remaining committee members are recruited by the Committee Leader in collaboration with HR, and these members do not need to be active students.

About the role

As Branding Committee Leader, you hold overall responsibility for organizing, structuring, and leading the committee’s work. This includes, among other things:

  • convening and chairing committee meetings (at least once per quarter)
  • ensuring progress and good coordination between national and local levels
  • ensuring compliance with BISO’s communication strategy and guidelines

The Branding Committee Leader is responsible for all national communication channels in BISO, including:

  • the BISO website (biso.no)
  • LinkedIn
  • Facebook
  • Instagram

All content published through these channels must comply with BISO’s communication guidelines. The committee and BISO’s Board determine what types of content are to be published.

The role involves continuous and structured dialogue with the Executive Committee and BISO’s Board of Trustees, as well as close collaboration with the IT Manager. The Branding Committee reports to BISO’s Board of Trustees and collects input from the local BISO Media units.

It is expected that the Branding Committee Leader represents all four campuses equally and is able to elevate perspectives from the local campus level to a national collaboration. The role requires high integrity, independence, and the ability to work in a structured and goal-oriented manner in line with BISO’s strategy. Decisiveness and strong critical reflection skills regarding both one’s own and others’ assessments are also expected.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a strong understanding of marketing, communication, and branding
  • experience with or a strong interest in strategic communication and campaign work
  • the ability to lead professional discussions and coordinate work across campuses
  • strong digital competence and familiarity with social media and website management
  • high integrity and a clear understanding of the role

Motivation for the position, knowledge of BISO, and experience from relevant leadership roles or positions will be given significant weight. In addition, personal suitability and relevant experience within marketing, PR, or communication will be highly valued.

Please submit a motivation letter (maximum one page) and any relevant documents, such as a CV and references, to hr@biso.no by Sunday, 22 February at 23:59. Please include “Application for the Branding Committee” in the subject line.

Interviews will be conducted digitally by two representatives from the BISO HR team, who will then nominate a candidate. The final selection will take place at the physical National Assembly in Oslo, 20–22 March. Digital participation for the appeal and Q&A session is possible.

Questions about the position may be directed to the current Branding Committee Leader,
Helene Tjelta, at pr@biso.no.
