Would you like to lead the Investment Committee in BISO and contribute to the responsible and strategic management of the organization’s funds?
The Investment Committee Leader is a remunerated position with a term of office from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. The role holds overall responsibility for leading BISO’s Investment Committee and managing the organization’s liquid assets in accordance with the adopted strategy and mandate.
The Investment Committee shall consist of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 members. It is not a requirement that either the Committee Leader or the other members are active students. The remaining committee members may be recruited by the Committee Leader in collaboration with HR.
About the Investment Committee and its mandate
The purpose of the Investment Committee is to allocate BISO’s liquid assets in a manner that ensures long-term, stable growth, as well as to assist BISO’s Board in the processing of applications to BI’s donation fund.
The committee works on the following:
- develop and further develop a financial investment plan in line with BISO’s strategy
- assess investment opportunities within equity and fixed-income markets, as well as other relevant investment markets
- submit investment proposals to BISO’s Board for approval
- manage the portfolio in accordance with adopted frameworks and decisions
About the role
As Investment Committee Leader, you have overall responsibility for organizing, leading, and structuring the committee’s work. This includes, among other things:
- convening and chairing committee meetings (at least once per quarter)
- ensuring progress in the committee’s work and sound decision-making processes
- recruiting additional committee members in collaboration with HR
- ensuring proper documentation and compliance with the adopted investment strategy
The Investment Committee Leader shall maintain continuous and structured dialogue with the Chair of the Board in BISO and provide updates at all board meetings. The role also involves close collaboration with the Business Controller and the Accounting Manager. The Investment Committee reports to BISO’s Board of Trustees.
It is expected that the Investment Committee Leader represents all four campuses equally and is able to elevate perspectives from the local campus level to a national collaboration. The role requires high integrity, independence, and the ability to work in a structured and goal-oriented manner in line with BISO’s strategy. Decisiveness and strong critical reflection skills regarding both one’s own and others’ assessments are also expected.
We are looking for someone who has:
- solid knowledge of investments, equities, and financial markets
- experience with or a strong interest in portfolio management, analysis, and investment decision-making
- a strong understanding of risk, long-term thinking, and responsible capital management
- the ability to lead professional discussions and build consensus within a committee
- high integrity and a clear understanding of the role
Motivation for the position, knowledge of BISO, and experience from relevant leadership roles or positions will be given significant weight. In addition, personal suitability and relevant financial experience will be highly valued.

Interviews will be conducted digitally by two representatives from the BISO HR team or the current committee leader, who will then nominate a candidate.
