About the Debate Club
The Debate Club is a space for students to sharpen their critical thinking, public speaking, and argumentation skills. We host guest talks, workshops, social activities, and attend external networking events and competitions. Our mission is not only to help members grow into confident debaters, but also to create opportunities for networking, teamwork, and lasting friendships.
Who We’re Looking For
As our Business Relations Manager, you are:
- Professional, outgoing, and confident in building new connections.
- Organized and proactive, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Able to represent the club in a positive and professional way.
- Interested in partnerships, networking, and creating opportunities for members.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, sponsors, and organizations.
- Seek opportunities for collaboration, sponsorships, and guest speakers.
- Represent the Debate Club in networking events and external meetings.
- Work closely with the Financial Manager on sponsorship agreements and funding opportunities.
- Coordinate with the PR and Event Managers to ensure external partners are promoted and included in events.
- Help members connect with potential employers and professional networks.
- Ensure the Debate Club maintains a strong and professional presence outside the university.
