The Event Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a
variety of social events and gatherings for the university’s football society. This
role involves coordinating logistics, managing budgets, and ensuring the smooth
running of all events.
Key Responsibilities:
● Event Planning and Execution:
○ Develop and implement a comprehensive event calendar for the
academic year, including football match viewing parties, social
gatherings, and other relevant events.
○ Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, such as venue managers,
caterers, and security personnel, to ensure seamless event
execution.
○ Oversee event setup, breakdown, and cleanup processes.
● Venue Sourcing and Negotiation:
○ Identify and secure suitable venues, such as bars and restaurants,
for football match viewings.
○ Negotiate favorable terms with venue owners or managers, including
discounts, special offers, and exclusive arrangements.
○ Coordinate with venues to ensure adequate seating, food, and
beverage options for attendees.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Strong organizational and time management skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Experience in event planning and management.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Passion for football and social events.
